Happy New Year!

So have you all made your New Year’s resolutions yet? Yeah..I haven’t either. But I did have a really great holiday season! I spent Christmas Eve and Day in New Orleans with Stef’s family. Mom, Dad, and Janette came to Baton Rouge on the 26th and Bert got in on the 27th! Stef and Adam came in on the 28th too, and we just had ourselves a good ol time! It was so awesome having everyone here. Bert was here for 5 days!! I am pretty sure I speak for both of us when I say that we had a really great time together. Bert got to spend a lot of quality time with my family which was awesome. He came to church with me on Sunday, we went out to eat several times, caught a movie (p.s. Sweeny Todd was awful…sorry stef), watched several movies at the apartment, and just enjoyed our time together. He even got to go fabric shopping with me for work! I dropped him off early this morning at the airport, and we have no idea when we’ll see each other again. For those of you who are currently doing long-distance or who have ever had a long-distance relationship, I understand more and more how much distance really does make the heart grow fonder…

haha. so i just got off the phone with you terdy…i just wanted to second the holiday fun. im glad you 2 got to see each other, but selfishly i am more glad i had the opportunity to see yall too:) i was really blessed this christmas to be able to visit with not only my biological family but my bestest (also qualifies as sister) and her family as well. (bert, im pretty sure you fit in that category) as far as sweeny todd is concerned….jasper, just bc you dont like musicals with bloody goodness and meat pies, doesnt mean you cant appreciate it and/or pretend johnny depp was dressed as a nun running and singing through the swedish hills that are alive with the sound of music and a blue sky and blonde hair with big smiling bright white teeth and a litter of clone like children singing along for many hours about life and love and being 16… going on 17 …now thats creep:) love you sweetie!

I would actually LOVE to see Johnny Depp run around singing the hills are alive on a mountain top! Great idea stef…you should totally send a memo to Tim Burton with this geniousness:) And just to clarify, I appreciated the movie for its musical and even visual achievements. However, it was completely not my type of movie. But you already knew that…LOVE YOU!!

so, there were may adorable silver shaving knives in the movie… if you could not accept the craft that bert and i find so hard to do on very many occasions (shaving) then you should at least respect “The Burton” and “The Depp” after all, they are film icons… even more amazing than a dying nun and Hitler the Whimp.

as Stewie Griffin would say… “What the deuce?”

Is the tree in your apt.? Guess I’ll have to send more ornaments (I have more tools.) Sounds like a great holiday; maybe next year I’ll get to join you - or you join me in Fla.!
